Charmaigne 

IN THE BEGINNING:

Raised in Melksham , Charmaigne is a local girl and proud of her roots ..

Always wanting to perform and sing in a band,  Charmaigne took the plunge and applied for an audition with a Lavington based cabaret band – Manhattan Nights.( Along with Duncan - Guitarist )

She swept away any competition easily (plus she had her dad there as a body guard ) and had obviously done her homework on the chosen numbers.

Her first ever gig was The Hilton – The Lord Mayors Ball – Swindon (No pressure there !! ) which she fulfilled with consummate ease..

The long weekends and late nights all became a tad too much for a young mother with two jobs. Charmaigne took the brave decision to go solo, doing so she could choose when and where she performed, along with being able to get home earlier.

Again success followed her with her diary filling rapidly due to her popularity around the music circuit. Char was never short of gigs.

THIS GIRL WANTS TO ROCK !!!

Wanting to raise the bar, the volume and the performance – Charmaigne went the whole hog and made the move to front a heavy Rock band – Black Widow ( along with Simon – Bass guitarist )

Again another successful outfit playing numerous gigs in pubs & clubs and headlined quite a few festivals .. Unfortunately other members of the band came and went, generally not being able to commit to the workload and Black Widow disbanded.

FEMALE OF THE SPECIES  :

2015 – 4 Girls from 4 bands ( Charmaigne being one ) decide to do the ultimate and create a band  -

 “Female Of The Species” ( FOTS ).

FOTS perform one concert annually and all the proceeds go to a selected Charity for that year.

This includes a team of professional musicians who all donate their time and effort free of charge. This is another event - NOT TO BE MISSED ! look out for the date ...

OCTOBER 2021 – Charmaigne gets a call from Duncan – “Fancy being in a band? “That was enough to tease her into forming SIREN !!

Her love of Rock is second to none just like her singing, Charmaigne portrays this throughout the performance knowing when to give it light & shade and when to give it her all.. !!
